What about Mitzi Dalton Huntley?

I'm picturing Ma and Olivier, frantically clawing at each other, in the
hot tub. Just as Ma Chenowith is about to climax, she accidentally
slams Olivier's head against the side of the tub. He slumps and starts
sinking. Ma tries to free herself, but she gets dragged down with him.
They both drown. As Ma Chenowith gurgles her last, ''The Girl From
Impanema'' plays softly in the background. Fade to white.

Fade to black.

Scene: Rotting bodies in hot tub.

Enter stage left, 3 shitzu dogs, looking very hungry.

Next scene: Shtizu dog dragging a penis in his mouth, backing away from
the tub and snarling at the others as they sniff at the meat.

Sure you couldn't have been more offensive? Maybe if you'd stayed up

Yes, there were several other family related people we
didn't see die--grandma's 2nd husband...and his daughter;
presumably after gram dies, hubby drifts away from the
family in grief, and his daughter was already gone off on a
new life of her own. We also didn't see the deaths of gram's
friend either for this reason...or Olivier's either...also
Rico's wife must have been dead in 2085, I'd guess (or maybe
medicare had really improved by then making
some of the healthier folks very long-lived...not Claire
with her drug etc history though.)

The closing montage deaths were effectively limited to the Fisher family
(and subsequent spouses) and business, which also meant the core cast we
met back in the S1 pilot -- Lisa, George, Bettina et al didn't show up
until much later.

Rico had worked for the Fishers. Brenda eventually married one of them
and produced a grandchild. Keith also eventually married David.

That's not the point. The point was that we did see some people in later
montages that we did not see the death of, until they had likely already
died.

So, since Brenda's mother doesn't show up after that first birthday, she
might have died around that time, or she might have been seen in later
portions.

My thesis is that the deaths of even people close to the
family, are not shown if they lose contact with the family
at some point. Brenda's mom likely had little or no contact
with the core family after the first birthday. I'm not at
all sure what you are saying (e.g., "...she might have been

What I'm saying is that since she disappeared from the montage at that
point, she may have died around then. Because if she was around, she
likely would have been seen in later portions of the montage.

So, either she died, or as you say, was not involved with her daughter
or grandchildren any longer. Considering, though, that she was there
for the first birthday, I think it is likely she probably died shortly
thereafter.

Maybe Brenda came to her senses, decided not to allow her mother's toxic
influence to infect another generation, and politely suggested she f**k off.

"Here" where? Are you originating from SFU or Rec.tv? All I know is that if
someone crossposts, and I don't *look up* to the "newsgroups" box, I assume
these posts are generated in SFU. I don't know if everyone in rec.tv knows
one another, but here in SFU the names come and go. The point of SFU is to
discuss current and past episodes. While I support not putting spoilers in
the subjects, content of body text is no holds barred in my book.

Like Dana Scully, she doesn't die.

She probably "sorta" dies, but Olivia has her frozen and placed in some
sattellite which is later towed into interstellar space until the 24th
century, at which time it is discovered by the Enterprise 1701-D.
She is revived and rejuvinated by Dr Crusher, and asks whatever happened to
her friends and relatives, at which point Beverly shows her the finale end
sequence.
It is so moving, even Worf sheds a tear.

She was such a cunt to Ruth. I'd hope her death be soemthing that made
her ugly and deformed, because then she couldn't live with herself.
she falls down and breaks her hip (she's in her 80's or something) and
is immobilized. Vanity prevented her from hiring any longterm help, so
she was tstuck alone, and spent three days passing in and out of
conciousness. During that time, Lilith, her pet Okapi, went half mad
from hunger, and was driven to desperation. The horribly mutilated
remains of Mrs. Chenowith were found spread thruoughout her apartment.
Of course poor Lilith had to be destroyed (as is the law for any Okapi
that tastes human flesh).

She has a spiritual/psychiatric epiphany and enters an alternate reality
--- as a torture victim in "ROME".

I'd guess an alcohol-related accident or liver disease.
She actually survives, relying on every advance in cosmetic and
life-stretching science, into the 23rd century, when some geological
catastrophe forces LA to become "The City of the Domes", and nobody is
allowed to live past their 60th birthday.
